Fire telephones are used in emergency situations by fire marshals and fire officers. They may be needed to provide essential communication between fire marshals and security staff to control a building during an emergency evacuation procedure.

A main equipment control unit can establish where the fire Marshalls are and provide assistance accordingly.

  • Fire telephone systems are designed to meet the following standards:
  • BS9999: 2008 Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings.
  • BS5839 pt9 Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings. Code of practice for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of emergency voice communication systems
